Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving has long been my favorite holiday.  At its heart, this day is about giving thanks for our blessings.  While experiencing and SCP_Qatana_077-headshot-WEBexpressing gratitude is part of my daily practice, this day is set aside especially for that.

So first of all, I wish to express my gratitude to you, my readers.  Your interest in Gifts of Inner Wisdom and the comments you send mean so much to me.

Of course, Gifts of Inner Wisdom rests on and grows from the deep, deep love and appreciation I feel for the imagery work that I do, for the way it has transformed – and continues to inform – my life and the lives of the people I work with.  What could be more magnificent – or more precious – than the gift of connecting with Spirit?  I give thanks on a regular basis for this work.

I am so thankful for my wonderful husband, who loves and supports me, for our son, for my friends and family, for my health and for the beauty around me.

I am grateful for the learnings of the past months.  You have not heard from me for quite a while.  Last May I received guidance from my Inner Wisdom:  “Do nothing!”

I was told that this was a time to focus on becoming what I need to teach.  I needed to practice moving beyond good and bad to ‘Just So’.  I needed to learn to truly trust the flow (whatever that is!) and go with it.  I needed to step down from the all-knowing guru role and let my doubts, my fears and my vulnerability show.

This has been a work in progress – at times difficult and painful, at time exultant. You’ll learn about my struggles and triumphs in future blogs.

For now, I encourage you to seize the opportunity of this day to give thanks for the blessings in your life.  What are your many blessings?  What are you thankful for?
