Smoking Cessation and Habit Control

In this one-session approach you will learn a technique for self-hypnosis and three short phrases, the reinforcers that contain all of the semantic elements you need to turn the habit of smoking into the habit of non-smoking. In the days and weeks following our session, by repeating these reinforcers on a regular basis you will not only strengthen your commitment to remain a non-smoker, you will also provide yourself with an effective means of dealing with the stress that made you want to smoke in the past.

This approach can be applied to other troublesome habits such as overeating, nail-biting and hair pulling, although these symptoms usually require more than one session.
